Battle of the Nations 1813
Battle of the Nations 1813 is a two-player game in which players take on the roles of army commander Napoleon Bonaparte and Prince zu Schwarzenberg. The special thing about this game is that both players have different starting and victory conditions. Napoleon is given the names of 5 towns and villages undercover at the beginning of the game, of which he must successfully occupy at least 3 at the end of the game.
The task of Schwarzenberg is to prevent this with his armies.
Before the players can finally place their armies on the field, they must have completed the planning of their armies. This is done with the help of 3 troop markers, which can be moved and removed on the game board. As soon as all but one of the army markers has been removed, the troop marker is replaced by the corresponding army.
Players must always consider when they want to finalize the position of their armies and how long they want to remain flexible.
But don't wait too long, because with every movement of the Troop markers, the time indicator advances. And at the end of the game only the placed armies are important for the fulfillment of the victory condition.
