Outback Crossing is a tile placement game by Bruce Whitehill for 2-6 players ages 8 and up.
Six to seven animal species are crisscrossing the Australian outback. To control where they're going, players lay down tiles one at a time onto the grid, claiming ownership of different "trails", and change things around with the Action tiles. At the end of the game, single tiles won't score - except for the Tasmanian Devil - and the more tiles of one kind you have on a trail, the better the score; five (or six) different animals on a trail also score very well. The Tasmanian Devil has special value and scores even higher.

As team manager you draft new basketball players. You know the expected strengths of each of these players for the next seasons, and his best field position, his height, and his popularity (which is good for your team funds).
Get assistance from a trainer, player agent, banker or even the referee to win the trophies.
Try to win the most valuable trophies during your manager period. That, and good perspectives for the current season, is all that the fans want!

The XL-Expansion for Habitats adds 16 tiles (and 3 game turns per player) :
- 8 animal tiles that need a larger habitat than any of the base game animals, and bring you more victory points if you fulfill their requirements.
- 4 camp site tiles, for your adventurous park visitors to spend the night. You score the victory points if the camp has all the indicated park connections satisfied. The better base it is to walk to different areas of your park, the more points it is worth.
- 4 flower tiles.

Kid explorers will love this! Have someone hide the Monkey, then use the Scanner to track it down. Lights will flash red on the Scanner dial to show you're getting warmer, and the Monkey will call out when you are near. Play indoors or out, alone or with other Hide & Seek Safari monkeys. Have some jungle fun outside and hide the animals in the bushes, the jungle gym, the flower pot ... just about anywhere. There is no limit to the number of scanners and animals that can be used together. 1 9V and 2 AA batteries are included, so it's ready to play right out of the box. Ages 5+
