As Factions settle the Solar System and adopt a commodity economy based upon isotope rocket fuel, humanity itself changes and augments itself to adapt to the space environment of low gravity and high radiation. The science of cybernetics allows human-machine hybrids to flourish. Terawatt technology makes it possible to build a starship and augmented humanity makes it possible to expand to the stars. Module 4 Exodus plays with multiplayer and solitaire scenarios and only needs the Core High Frontier 4 game to play, but can be combined with any Module. It extends High Frontier in the following ways:

  • Contracts (Module 0). Enhance the early to mid-game, granting early Aqua and mission goals. Contracts create a radical new dynamic for all games: solo, 4-cycle, and extended. In 6- and 7-cycle games, enterprises become a path to augmentations, as humanity alters itself and its machines to better colonize the solar system and reach the stars.
  • New Colonist Queue & Augmentations (Modules 1 & 2) represent Humans whose bodies have atrophied to the point that they are largely mechanical. Augmentation chits are played on the Colonists to upgrade them.
  • An Isobank, founded by one player and holding the game’s repository of isotope fusion fuel, becomes the center of starship construction. With Module 3, the isobank can be raided and potentially robbed! If a starshot occurs, either in the spirit of expansion or to escape from bondage, a combination game into Interstellar is possible. Special Exodus contracts are also available to complete vital preparation for the interstellar journey.
  • New Solitaire Political Diagram (Module 0) to integrate contracts with the CEO and Altruism solitaire variants.

Sammu-ramat is a cooperative game set in the Near East 800 BC. She was a wonder of a woman, ruling a large empire in turmoil, navigating it into a period of prosperity. But a great leader needs great Advisors. As Sammu-ramats Advisors, your mission in each game you play is to assist her through one of the many challenges that she encountered during her reign. This challenge is presented to you as a scenario, found on a Challenge card that you draw during setup. Apart from completing the scenario, players need to make sure that the Empire is stable and that Queen Sammu-ramat is safe.

Derrocar is a card game about the week of five presidents in Argentina.

In this 1-5 player board game you play as the Senators and Governors of the provinces, all seeking to outmaneuver the others and become the next President of the República Argentina. In a country tired of politicians, you need to prove that you are the least bad option, by making sure that the provinces of the other governors are full of conflicts. By making it look like your opponents cannot even manage their own provinces, they will be even less able to manage the country. The game ends when a player is declared President.

This terawatt module for High Frontier 4 All introduces two new patent decks: Freighters (1B) and GW Thrusters (1C). Freighters are a new type of patent card allowing the transport of valuable factory goods back to LEO. GW thrusters are more powerful and efficient versions of the MW thrusters of the core game, allowing your Spacecraft to reach the outer planets more easily. This module also optionally introduces Futures, special game goals to earn victory points.

As Factions expand into the solar system and trade among themselves, they become less dependent on Earth and less tolerant of Earth-centered trade limits and regulations. Secessionists start to clamor for independence and self-governance. But if war is declared, the game state changes drastically until it is resolved, with hot fighting between the Loyalists and the Independents. At stake: will space ventures be subject to Earth regulations and governance by terrestrial superpowers and multinational organizations like the UN, or will they be a bunch of self-governing city-states?

The starship Exodus departs in haste from a troubled Solar System. Players must negotiate risks and challenges together in a cooperative sense and survive the journey, but competitively, must have the most victory points to win. Because of extreme mass limits, players start with two heavily augmented teenagers plus frozen human embryos, eggs, and sperm. The ship is a generation ark on an interstellar voyage lasting over a century.

Interstellar is a stand-alone cooperative-competitive game for 1 to 6 players, also playable as a successor game to High Frontier in combination with Module 4-Exodus. It can also work as the 5th part of our game series on the evolution of life: (Bios:Genesis, Bios:Megafauna/ Bios:Mesofauna, Bios:Origins, High Frontier 4 All and Interstellar).

All players travel in the Exodus starship; a modular game component consisting of a number of blueprint placards that will erode, malfunction, and be eaten by gray-goo.

Players must negotiate risks and challenges together in a cooperative sense to survive the journey, but competitively, the one with the most victory points wins.

A large map featuring our nearest stars binds it all together; here you plan and execute your journey. As with High Frontier, everything on this map is based on real facts about outer space.

The journey lasts for generations, maybe 100 years, maybe more. You will probe potential star systems, maintain the ship and develop technology for sanity, anti-cancer, survival, terraforming, and colonization.

One player is the commander and makes the most important decisions, but this player needs to stay popular, or a new commander can be chosen among the players via mutiny.

Each turn spans 12 years. A market of developments represents what you spend your time on and discover. An ideology chart tracks how the players’ mutual loyalties evolve.
